“We engaged with Acacia early in the project planning process to ensure streamlined and quality outcomes were achieved for our clients home, Practice Ground.

We’ve always found the front end support from Acacia to be valuable in this respect which ensures details are considered and resolved ahead of project delivery.

Quality, longevity, waterproofing and airtightness are importantly at the forefront of all of those discussions.

Acacia are a quality outfit with a genuine and well structured team across all areas of the process and we wouldn’t hesitate in recommending them to others in the industry”.

“Belah House was a challenging build with a tight timeline, however Acacia did a fantastic job under pressure. Their shop drawings were clear, their team was professional and the end result showed why timber was absolutely the right choice. We look forward to many more projects together.”

Rob Brown

Principal Architect, Casey Brown Architects

“Working with Acacia on the South Coast Beach House was a fantastic experience. Their shop drawings are some of the best I’ve come across—clear, detailed and full of practical advice that made the process smooth from start to finish. The craftsmanship, from the three-and-a-half-metre front door to the timber detailing throughout, is outstanding and will hold up beautifully in the home’s coastal environment. Most importantly, the collaboration was seamless, with everything delivered on time and to the highest standard.”

“Our building is predominantly concrete. When the timber windows and doors went in, it not only warmed up the entire house, but added a magnificent sense of natural depth. Ameka became very emotional and almost cried when they arrived; it was a big turning point. That’s the reason why I chose timber – and Australian Spotted Gum. Not only is it sustainably sourced, it’s more thermally efficient than extruded aluminium. The service has been amazing. Everyone that enters the home adores the product and I’m always proud to mention Acacia.”

Emmi Wegener

Associate Director, CM Studio

Their professionalism and attention to detail made the entire process smooth and enjoyable. We’d happily collaborate again.”

Palm Beach Project

Casey Bryant

Director, TRIAS Studio

“One of the things I really value about working with the team at Acacia is the clarity they bring to every project. Their shop drawings are by far the most detailed and precise I’ve seen from any window manufacturer. This level of detail makes it easy for us to successfully integrate the windows into our builds and customise where needed. Even small but important information – like the thickness of the materials being used – is clearly shown, which I really appreciate. On more complex projects, like the one at Church Point, working with Acacia was seamless – from pricing through to shop drawings and manufacture. They approached the customised details with confidence and a positive attitude, making what could have been a challenging process feel effortless.”

“We worked with Acacia on the timber doors and windows package for our Darling House project and the outcome was exceptional. Both our architectural and construction teams felt Reuben and the team were professional and reliable through the entire process. The end result was a stunning package of Spotted Gum doors and windows that matched our high expectations – craftsmanship and attention to detail we’ve come to demand on projects of this calibre. We would look forward to working with Acacia again on future projects.”

Margaret Krempff

Architect, Studio Ventana

“In 2023 I commissioned Acacia to rebuild a timber and glass wall at my home in Darlinghurst as part of an extensive refurbishment. The wall, curved and over 5 metres in height, is the main feature of the design so it was essential to find a company that could achieve a perfect result.

As an architect myself I had extremely high expectations regarding the quality of the work to be delivered. Acacia achieved a flawless outcome.

From my first contact with Russell Pugh I was impressed by the professionalism and expertise that so clearly underpin the business. I visited the Bellambi workshop, discussed timber selection, costings and the timeline for the project and detail resolution. At every stage I felt completely confident that the project was receiving the attention it deserved.

The inner-city site presented some challenges that had to be considered. The window wall was to be fitted into an existing built framework that had subsided slightly over the years, and access was cramped. Together with the builder, the Acacia team worked quickly and calmly to complete installation in a day, returning only to make some small adjustments. I was astonished by their efficiency.

The wall has been in place now for 18 months. Every day I admire the workmanship and care that Acacia brought to the job. They have a deserved reputation as the best in their field, and I would not hesitate to recommend them.”

Steven Cavanagh

Project Manager, Build by Design

“Build by Design worked closely with Acacia at our project Wiley, in Waverley, to manufacture and supply highly detailed Spotted Gum windows and doors. After working with Acacia on a number of projects, we have found that Acacia’s knowledge base, attention to detail, and superior quality of workmanship from initial design, shop drawings, craftsmanship and manufacturing to be cutting edge and a pleasure to work with.”

Jo Bastian

Director, Bastian Architecture

“Working with Acacia has always been a pleasure and this project was no different, their attention to detail and knowledge is second to none.

On this project, Re-Grow House in Curl Curl, the team went above and beyond to provide material samples showing various timber species and sealers to ensure the windows and doors worked perfectly with the other materials on the project and our desire to use an Australian hardwood.

The team also worked with us to ensure the detailing of the front door was both beautiful and durable.”

Eoghan Lewis

Architect, Eoghan Lewis Architects

“We have worked with Acacia on many projects over the last 12 years and have always found them excellent to work with.

In addition to their obvious passion for timber windows and expertise with Australian hardwoods, they have become an excellent resource at the beginning of projects when ideas are developed then later on they’re great to work with as solutions are found, refined, priced and implemented.

They are proactive through every stage of the process, they care about details and offer an excellent service to architects and to clients.”

Jon Bowie

“As always, it was a pleasure working alongside this passionate family-driven company on our Rosewood House project. Acacia’s enthusiasm and attention to detail throughout our builds ensures a fantastic end product every time.”

Glenn Cunnington

Architect, H&E Architects

“The Waterfront Tavern project evolved as a contemporary interpretation of the form and materiality characteristic of traditional timber wharf structures. Timber was integral to the design, inside and out.

The project features a range of fixed and operable glazed timber framed fenestrations. All are integrated with complex cladding details in an exposed marine environment. Acacia embraced the spirit of the project, brought their significant experience to the resolution of design and detail, and ultimately their exceptional craftsmanship to the execution of the project.

We very much look forward to working with Acacia again on future projects.”

Jaya Param

Architect, Walknorth Architects

“Acacia crafted a large suite of custom sliding hardwood timber doors and windows along with sliding hardwood timber screens for privacy and shading for a renovation on the mid north coast of New South Wales. They welcomed our custom and precise detailing and responded with a rigour of their own, working with us to refine and finesse the end result.

The finished result of the Canopy House owes much to the quality of the hardwood joinery that Acacia produced. We look forward to working alongside the team at Acacia on our future projects.”

Nick Channon

Architect, Madeleine Blanchfield Architects

“As a practice we value the knowledge and expertise of the sub-contractors we work with in order to deliver the best possible outcomes for our clients.

Acacia have proved to be an invaluable part of the design and development process, working with us on a number of projects to manufacture high quality timber windows which speak for themselves. We would not hesitate to recommend them to others.”

Benjamin Chan

Architect, Sam Crawford Architects

“Acacia, as always, provide a high quality product, exhibiting precise craftsmanship and attention to detail.

In addition to this, what sets them aside is their pre-construction service, providing valuable input during the design process, budget estimates, and review of architectural details. This continuity ensures a seamless transition from design stage to construction when it comes to window and door joinery.

I would not hesitate to recommend them.”

Peter Stutchbury

“Acacia understood the design intent and were able to contribute their experience and expertise in refining the design across a variety of sliding, pivot and hinged doors. They communicated clearly and were focused on delivering quality details.

We are very pleased with the built outcome, and it was a pleasure working with them.”

Tony Lisicic

“The team at Acacia delivered the windows and doors to our recent Farmstay project to an impeccably high standard. Shop drawings were clear and showed all of the details, as well highlighting and coordinating all components of the assemblies. The team were collaborative in planning and resolving construction details and accommodating the difficult coordination issues that were identified prior to production.”

Richard Cole

Architect, Richard Cole Architecture

“We have completed a number of projects with Acacia, the latest being the Headland House at Mona Vale. The project required customised doors and windows in White Mahogany with a high level of detailing.

Acacia provided an excellent service and product, delivering beautifully crafted windows and doors that contributed significantly to the overall outcome of the building.”

Fergus Scott

“At the Cliff Face House, Acacia produced competitively priced work of a high standard. Acacia’s accessibility, honesty and expertise were both valued and essential to the architectural process.”
