For a wide and generous opening, the more modern pivot doors could be the go. They pivot – or swing – on a point, top and bottom. This means they don’t need a door frame as such. Pivot doors are usually heavy and made from timber or glass. The pivoting makes them easier to open and close than a standard door. And, there’s a lot less hardware that goes into a pivot than a hinged door. They’re a perfect fit for contemporary designs.
